 Three quickfire second half goals continue Celtic's B side impressive start to their league campaign in the Scottish Lowlands League.

The match was played in torrential showers, which seems to be a feature of matches in Airdrie.

• 9th time attending a Lowlands League match, including 3 featuring Celtic-B
• 10th match attended at the Excelsior Stadium
• 2nd time seeing Linlithgow Rose

An opportunistic chance to get to another match at Old Trafford, this time a less glamouress encounter as England's big two met in the Premier League 2 for their under 21 players. I was accompanied usually by wife and daughter who wasn't particularly enthusiastic that our day trip to Manchester ended with a trip to the Theatre of Dreams.

United opened up the North Stand lower and around 10,000 took advantage of the very low priced tickets to get their families to a match at Old Trafford - £3 for adults and under 16s £1.50.

Personal Note:

• My 4th visit to Old Trafford this season and overall 59th match at Old Trafford
• My 212th match outside of Bonnie Scotland

Scorers: Munoz, Belid

The young Spanish side dominate the match from start to finish and score a goal in each half to earn a comfortable victory.

Line ups:

Real Madrid'sYouth team visit Airdrie and put on a show in the rain against a young Celtic B side.  The game started in monsoon conditions but is far from a leveller as Real race into a 2 goal lead before Celtic are reduced to 10 men midway from the first half.  McPherson sent off for a professional foul. A further two goals are scored before the break, followed by another brace in the second which is at least played in better weather conditions.

The stand out players for Real are captain Angel and Paz.

• 4th Broomhill match, 3 of them at Recreation Park.
• 2nd time seeing Rangers-B.

Match No. 5 in the Scottish Lowlands League again with Paul on the line.  East Stirlingshire are too strong for their Glasgow opponents.

My first time seeing the B team in action in the Lowlands League and although the match lacks quality there is plenty of goal action to keep my interest.

Paul is on the line again for what is my 8th match at the Excelsior Stadium.

Paul is on the line for another Scottish Lowlands League fixtures and it gives me the chance to visit a new ground - K Park on the outskirts of East Kilbride.

The ground is not easy to get to unless travelling by car.

My first venture into Scottish non-league football in the Scottish Lowlands League as Paul makes his debut.  A decent game between Broomhill, a club from Glasgow who play their home games in Alloa and Caledonia Braves from the Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire.

A contrast of styles with Braves playing a good style of football while Broomhill are a little more direct in their play.

Second visit to Recreation Park, Alloa.
