MATCH 1850 - Tuesday 19 October 2021

SEASON 2021/22

Group Stage

CELTIC  2  FERENCVAROS  0
Scorers: Kyogo, OG

A fantastic 50,000 crowd for a 3:30pm kick off due to COP26 taking place in Glasgow.  Celtic record a much needed group win having lost on matchday 1 and 2.  Kyogo scores an outstanding goal made by a sublime pass from Jota in his own half and the Japanese star running onto it perfectly.

MATCH 1849 - Thursday 30 September 2021

SEASON 2021/22

Group Stage

Venue:  CELTIC PARK

CELTIC  0  BAYER LEVERKUSEN  4
Scorers:  Hincapie; Wirtz; Alario; Adli

A comprenhensive win for the Bundesliga side.  Celtic make just as many chances but Bayer's goalkeeper, Lukas Hradecky was in inspired form and Celtic did not have the same clinical touch as their opponents.

Bayer had former Celtic youngster, Jeremie Frimpong in their starting XI and he showed the combined skill and pace that got him an £11m move to the German side.

2nd time seeing Bayer Leverkusen.  The first being the 2002 UEFA Champions League Final at Hampden Park.

SEASON 2021/22

SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Venue:  CELTIC PARK

CELTIC  1  DUNDEE UNITED  1

Scorers:  Abada;  Harkes

Great to see Dundee United back in the top league but it's a frustrating day for Celtic as United gain a deserved draw with a good solid away performance.

The 117th time I've attended ths fixture.

MATCH 1847 - Thursday 23 September 2021

SEASON 2021/22

SCOTTICH LEAGUE CUP Quarter Final

Venue:  CELTIC PARK

CELTIC  3  RAITH ROVERS  0
Scorers: Jota, Abada, Turnbull

Celtic's challenges continue in the Scottish League Cup but they are more than a match for their lower league rivals.  This is a famous fixture in the competition for all the wrong reasons as far as Celtic are concerned but like on all other occasions since the 1994 final Celtic are too strong for their Kirkcaldy opponents.
