MATCH 1766 - Sunday 28 October 2018

SEASON 2018/19

SCOTTISH LEAGUE CUP Semi Final

Venue:  MURRAYFIELD STADIUM (4)

CELTIC  3  HEARTS  0
Scorers: Sinclair, Forrest, Christie

A Great Day in Scotland's National Rugby Ground

Celtic travelled through to Edinburgh for the League Cup semi final not in the best of form and the size of the Hearts support in the huge crowd of 61,161 shows how much they were looking forward to taking on Celtic especially as the semi final is in Edinburgh for a change.

Their optimism proves to be misguided as the game is best remembered for the transformation of Ryan Christie Celtic career, from bit part player to one that delivers on the big occasion.

A penalty won by Christie and scored by Sinclair, a second from Forrest after a goalkeeping error and a spectacular third by Man of the Match Christie, all in the second half, send Celtic through to their 5th final in a row.

MATCH 1765 - Tuesday 23 October 2018

SEASON  2018/19

ENGLISH LEAGUE DIVISION 1

Venue:  KEEPMOAT STADIUM

DONCASTER ROVERS  0  SUNDERLAND  1

Scorer: Mcguire

A full on day.  Train to Edinburgh and then onto Newcastle.  Thankfully we left in plenty of time as a tree on the track held up the journey by an hour.  Then it was a quick transfer on metro to Sunderland to catch the A Love Supreme (ALS) coach to Doncaster.

Thankfully it was all worth it in the end as Sunderland recorded a rare victory and we got to a new ground.

A Chris Maguire goal just after half time proved to be the in this tight affair between two side vying for promotion.
