A record away score for Celtic today at a ground they used to fear.  At the moment Celtic are a  team full of confidence and United simply have none.  The goals tally included two hat-tricks - one from Japanese forward, Kyogo and the other from Israeli winger Abada.

• My 37th visit to Tannadice
• First visit was May 1982 and ended 3-0 to the home side.
• 119th attending this fixture with 35 at Tannadice.
• 3rd time seeing Celtic score 9 previous two were Arbroath away 1993 (9-1) and Aberdeen home 2010 (9-0).

Celtic lack inspiration today although playing some nice football at times never quite get going.  Even after taking the lead early in the first half it doesn't spark a surge of energy through the team and it takes until injury time when Hearts are reduced to 10, then nine men for the game to be sealed with a second home goal.

Remembering John Hughes who passed away recently.

• 121st Hearts match overall including 100 in the league (99 v Celtic, 1 v Hibernian)

All the action in the second half with four goals and a contender for save of the season from Joe Hart when the match was in the balance at 1-1.

Personal note:

• 5th visit to Ross County's Victoria Park Stadium in Dingwall.
• Overall 22nd time attending this fixture - 19 in the league.

Flag day at Celtic Park as Celtic receive the Championship flag in recognition of last seasons' title triumph.  Aberdeen are the opposition for the first match of the league campaign.

Celtic get off to a quick fire start with a goal inside three minutes.  The game drifts into abit of a lull for much of the second half until Jota scores a wonder goal on the 75th minute mark.

Personal stuff:

• My 107th league fixture between these rivals and 129 overall
• Since my 1st Celtic-Aberdeen match in March 1981 I've only missed one of the games played outside of Pittodrie Stadium between the sides which was in October 1999 (a 7-0 home win).  Not counting the fan-less Covid season it's a run of 94 games out of 95.
