With an hour just past on the clock deadline day signing Cameron Carter-Vickers long range deflected shot looped over the County keeper and into the net to break the deadlock.  Albian Ajeti added two more in final 20 minutes to seal the win

My first venture into Scottish non-league football in the Scottish Lowlands League as Paul makes his debut.  A decent game between Broomhill, a club from Glasgow who play their home games in Alloa and Caledonia Braves from the Bellshill area of North Lanarkshire.

A contrast of styles with Braves playing a good style of football while Broomhill are a little more direct in their play.

Second visit to Recreation Park, Alloa.

Another home league game and another six goal haul for Celtic.  This time helped by St Mirren being reduced to 10 men with Celtic leading one nil through Israeli youngster Liel Abada, a summer signing who is begining to make his mark.  He would go onto make it a double however David Turnbull went one better by scoring a hat trick.

Odsonne Edouard was also on the scoresheet for the final time in his outstanding time at Celtic.

Thanks to an excellent strikers goal from Kyogo and a deflected Forrest goal Celtic record a fine win over Dutch outfit AZ.

AZ's second visit to Celtic Park but this time it's not a low key friendly in an empty ground, instead it's in UEFA competition in front of a capacity stadium. AZ are only the third Dutch side I've seen at Celtic Park in European competition since my first European tie in 1982.  Previous Dutch visits were Ajax 1982, 2001, 2013 and 2015 and Utrecht in 2010.

Celtic's League Cup campaign begins with a tough tie against an in-form Hearts side who already had beaten the Hoops at Tynecastle on the opening day of the League season.  However Celtic started at a good pace and didn't allow their Edinburgh opponents to settle and by half time had estabalished a 2-0 lead.

Another impressive performance from recent Japanese signing Kyogo Furuhashi was capped by the third and decisive Celtic goal.

Celtic complete home and away victories over their Czech opponents to progress in the Europa League with an aggregate score of 7-2.

Back in our normal seats for this match and back to full capacity in all parts of the Park bar the Main Stand.  So things are improving on and off the park.

A new era in Celtic's history with many of the historic quadruple treble winners gone or in the process of going a team of new players and a new manager from around the world being assemble.  

New Japanese signing Furuhashi (or Kyogo to his new friends) marks his home debut with a hat-trick.

Again we are in the Lisbon Lion Stand as the crowd is restricted to just 22,500.

A much welcome return to Celtic Park after 15 long months and despite a big defeat it was great to be inside Paradise once again.  It was also a rare visit to the Lisbon Lions Stand in the lower tier.  It gave a good view of the the opening goal from captain Callum McGregor but that was as good as it got for Celtic as West Ham were clinical against an inexperienced Celtic XI.

Managers:  Ange Postecoglou - the new Celtic manager and David Moyes.
