SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Venue:  CELTIC PARK

CELTIC  5  RANGERS*  0

Scorers: Edouard(2); Forrest, Rogic, McGregor

After failing to wrap up the title last weekend Celtic empathetically win it at home in an all out attacking display.  After a great Edouard double Forrest rounds off the first half scoring with  terrific solo effort to send Celtic Park crowd crazy just before half time.

The second half is a bit more low key but Celtic quickly add another two to seal their 7th title in a row.

SEASON  2017/18

SCOTTISH PREMIER LEAGUE

Venue:  EASTER ROAD STADIUM

Scorers: Maclaren, Slivka;  Edouard

Celtic rock up at Easter Road to win another title but like all previous encounters this season Neil Lennon's Hibs prove a tough opponent and this time come out on top to deny Celtic winning the title on their own ground.

In order to get to the game we are in the home end (Main Stand lower).

Celtic wear their unusual away strip of dark pink!

SEASON  2017/18

SCOTTISH LEAGUE DIVISION 2

Venue:  AINSLIE PARK STADIUM

EDINBURGH CITY  4  ELGIN CITY  0
Scorers:  Beattie, Walker, Rodger, El Alagui

The second time I've been to this fixture to tick off the Scottish Football League grounds I've not been too.  As the Commonwealth Stadium is being revamped Edinburgh City have moved home games to Ainslie Park home of non-league side Spartans FC.  The ground is within a sporting complex but is a basic ground for watching football with a very small stand.

SEASON  2017/18

SCOTTISH CUP 5th Round

Venue:  CELTIC PARK

CELTIC  3  PARTICK THISTLE  2

Scorers:  Forrest(3);  Doolan, Sammon

A James Forrest hat-trick sends Celtic into the Cup quarter final. The victory was more comfortable than the scoreline suggests. Celtic raced into a two goal lead in the opening 10 minutes and by the 54th minute Forrest had completed his hat-trick however Thistle reduced the two goal lead twice on the 20th and 85th minutes.

Pre-match everyone in the ground remember Liam Miller who lost his battle with cancer.

MIDDLESBROUGH  2  SUNDERLAND  0

My first game of 2018 is an FA Cup tie at a new venue for me - Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium.  The game is not up to much, a comfortable win for the home side as Sunderland's poor form continues.

The Middlesbrough team continues a few players from past matches attended - keeper Randolph ex-Motherwell, Adam Clayton previously of Carlisle United and Grant Leadbitter.

Managers: Tony Pulis and Chris Coleman
